k20a2 or k20a3 auto
I was just wandering if i could be able to swap either of these engines and still keep my automatic transmision. Would this be something i would have to custom do or could i just connect it straight to the auto tranny. Im looking to get one and then add a jackson racing supercharger. Any info would help a great deal so thank you.

Rep Power: 0 Parents are go and agreed to pay for part of the swap if i keep my auto. I have only had my license a couple months now and my dad wont let me drive a stick for at least a year or so.
**** that sucks just tell him if you learn with manual you become a way better driver. Well yeah i don't know to much about swaps you might wanna check the Swaps Faq she what info you can get there but i am pretty sure you can do it easily just gonna be hard to get the auto tranny

well if you do an A2 swap it only come in a manual so your sol on that, The A3 out of an RSX comes in an auto and you can always add the type S 6 speed tranny later.

i think its level10.com or something. they make tranny build up kits and also i think if you send them your tranny then totally rebuild it for you for you. Its supposed to be "bullet proof" or something. its supposed to shift faster and all this stuff. However, if u got this, u would have a boosted auto and not have to worry that much about the tranny and could boost a lot. You would have a sick auto. What is your budget? If you want to reinforce your tranny and boost it, it would cost a shitload.
And I am not sure if the auto tranny from the rsx would be completely compatible in the chassis. I dont think its been done

Get a K20A3 base RSX only in Auto or 5spd they come in both trims.
Get a K20A2 RSX type S only comes in a 6spd tranny.
you can not swap a tranny from a K motor onto a D motor, just aint goin happen.
you can swap tranny between K motors, for example take a base auto RSX and swap either another base 5spd tranny, or a type S 6spd tranny. hope this clears up some of the confussion.

If you had to keep it auto and you REALLY wanted to swap I would say the TSX motor would be the best way to go, you would have alot more hp. Honestly with a auto A3 it is going to cost you alot and you MAY be as fast as a 5spd EX vic. IMO keep the car stock, drive it enjoy it, learn to drive a stick, and wait until you can get the car that you really want becuase you are going to have a hell of a time selling that car.

Rep Power: 329 what no one seems to have mentioned is you cannot get a k20a2 and put the auto tranny on it. the ecu plugs are different, there is no k20a2 ecu for an automatic...
and k-pro is not offered on the automatic ecu. so as said, you ONLY have the automatic option of the k20a3. which i have not seen done because it amounts to a roughly 20whp gain for many thousand dollars.
