Rep Power: 274 I'm still here with an HP kit heavily modded. Full build in progress. Already have fuel fuel sys, exhaust, and stand alone EMS. Spun rod bearings at 12 psi. Engine build includes darton MID D16 sleeve kit, eagle rods, JE pistons and ring set. Hopefully a new turbo cam from crower if they get them done soon. Already have kms valvetrain installed in the head. ARP fasteners all the way around. Already have all the stuff just waiting for good weather to get the motor out. Other goodies that I have already: Clutchmasters clutch and flywheel, Current manifold is a D16y8 with D17 TB and idle control. Custom stainless fuel rail, aeromotive regulator. all braided lines. DSM 450s wired to a honda resistor box(may need to go bigger). walbro 255. Major shift linkage modification. Greddy type s BOV. T3-T4 garrett 48 exhaust side. 57 compressor side. Tial 38mm wastegate. All this stuff is on a 2002 factory performance civic coupe. As soon as I get the block back I will start build pics on our site. www.JDMFabtech.com We also built a sick H22a turbo accord. Pics of the engine build are on the site. Yeah so I know that that makes me one more on the list going for gold with a D17a2.

Rep Power: 274 I know its not a k24 but Its plenty fast. the motor will hold 18psi all day. with my setup it does rip very hard. I would have done a swap but I started sinking money into the d17 before I knew what was good for me. so now its like hmmm I guess try to get some props going the road less travelled. Dont knock the d17 untill you ride in one thats done right. The EMS makes a humungous difference. It turns it into a whole other animal on boost.

Rep Power: 0 Im on stock internals, have been for almost 2 mo's. Its holding up nicely, seems to drive better than before. Occasionally it heats up, but thats only on idle, never boosting (yet). If there is air flowing around the engine bay (driving) its fine. and only on hot days does it heat up.

Rep Power: 274 I was on stock internals for a year with 6 psi. Then I went nuts and tested the limits. I was running at 12 psi and I musta over boosted and spun a couple of rod bearings.

Rep Power: 0 I'm still boosting 8 psi daily on stock internals with a custom kit. If a good friend of mine ....Ahem...You know who you are ..........comes through I may be switching to a T3 dual BB turbo soon. I really want to build an engine but I'm going to Costa RIca this summer so that's gonna have to wait.
