TSI Problem
So i finally started the install, i started off the the fuel system, is there suposed to be a gasket that goes beteen the engine and the throtle body? i didnt get one. ok so i installed the fuel injection block on the car, and when i started the car, the engine reved to 4,500 and wouldnt go any lower, i realized there was 2 problems
1. The cable is alot tighter in the engine that moves the butterfly thing to let the hair in the engine and its a bit open now, there are 2 cables, one that has a nut on it to adjust the idle, and one that doesnt, the one that doesnt have the nut needs to be adjusted, what do i do about that?
2. The part that is on the cable, a circular part the cable wraps around. its the part that turns, you can also rotate it with ur hand to make ur engine rev, just forgot what its called. BASICLY whats happening is that that is hitting the fuel injection block from the back, and it looks like ima have the shave a bit of that circular part so it doesnt hit it.. did anyone else have that probem?
ALSO problem with the injection wiring
The brown wire goes to the injector, as i hear from people, i just get ONE of the brown wires from the unit and connect it to BOTH of the injectors. Which wire on the injector do i connect it to? the wire with or without the strip?
a white wire goes to the ignition on 12 volt, exactly where can i find this wire?
and orange connect to ACC on 12 volt.. where is that wire also?
alright thanks
so far... 8 hours of work
1) Injection block in.
2) Food 2 times.
3) O'Reillys 2 times
4) Lowes Hardware shop.
5) Radio Shack 2 times (forgot my wallet first time)

The problem with your idle is possibly due to:
-The throttle sits much higher now due to the injector block being under it now. Did your used kit come with the throttle cable spacers???? These spacers Jack the throttle cable assembly up in coordinace with the new location of the throttle body. If you have the throttle cables bolted into the stock location, and bolted to the throttle body, the cable's going to be too tight, and have the throttle butterfly cracked open, thus giving you a 4500rpm idle. Sorry i can't get you any pics of these spacers due to my car+kit being sold. But ask around about these "spacers"
Your problem about your wiring:
-sorry dude, electrical is NOT my forte.......

If I remember correctly, you connect the first brown wire (1 of the 4 gets used), and solder that to the 2 black wires (neg) from the injectors. You than ground those. Wait a sec, i think I may have found a prob with my stuff resetting. I may have too many grounds going. I have to go check that right now!
Well, you should use one brown wire to the injectors, and the red wires on the injectors go to the positive on your battery.
The Ignition ACC is located under your steering wheel. Take the 3 screws out holding the steering wheel cover (under your wheel). Take those out, pop the plastic into the 2 pieces, and look under for 5 or 6 larger wires going to a harness. Find the right colors (on 7thgen) to tap into and make sure its the right harness.
Do not adjust your idle. You need to find the spacers or have them send you some. My idle was fine the first time I fired up the car. Good luck with everything. Are you having people help you?
Hope this helped somewhat.
Peace

your gonna also need to buy larger injectors now, go for RSX injectors.. and a boost gauge.. and a turbo timer... i say those are recomended... (turbo timer cus im lazy)
the fuel unit i have comes with a digital boost/vac gauge. it has the extra injectors with it already.. built in turbo timer... all those small things that made the car better... if ur not gonna get e manage.. i say get the injector block.. try to call TSI and see if u can get a trade for it.. maybe theyll do it.. but thats just MY OPINION
BTW Eternal... i used those spacers.. and IT WORKS!!!!
So far, i got the Fuel injection block in, i got gasket maker and put it between that and the throtle body... i didnt get one.... i also wired up ALL the electrical stuff.. so now i have N/A car with turbo timer.. ima be a ricer and have fun with that..
One other problem i had was i couldnt get the turbo timer to work.. pulled out the key and the car just shut off.. then my friend figured out.. HAND BRAKE!! needa pull that up. and then the turbo timer worked
ALSO.. when the car is started when they keys are out (when the turbo timer is working) i press the lock button on my keyless entry.. but it doesnt lock.. only when the car shuts off. is there anyway i can get the lock button to work while the cars started?

If anybody can tell me which acc wire on the ignition you used for the 12v power that would be great. What colors are on the wire? Any help would be great. Ima see ifI can use the other one, and possibly fix this issue Im having. I wont stop til its done, but I want it done freakin now. I hate my car so much, this alone makes me want to take everything off, not spend another cent, and sell my car. I am thinking about it hardcore.

and the colors and what they are connected to. Thanks alot. I hooked up the power wire (red one) to the screw in the fuse box. My unit worked this morning, but when the car sits for a little while is when I find out. So Ill know in about 20 minutes of that worked. I think it may have though. Its worked better than anything else so far. I hope its it. Ill definately let ya know in a little bit. Thanks a lot KalliGarri!

BTW, It reset on me. I also called TSI as I was getting into my car, and they said hit OK after every setting, like 0psi - 12ms OK, 1psi - 30ms OK. I tried, and it didnt work. So I tried hitting OK after every setting, like set al psis, hit OK, set rpms, hit ok. Nothing has worked. I am going to call them again and get a new unit. Now that all the wiring is perfect, I should get a new unit, and there shouldnt be any prob. Something probably fried in the unit when a couple wires were wired backwards/to the wrong wires. I redid it all myself, so I am sure its correct now. We were up so late and in sucha hurry when we did it, that it was probably overlooked, especially while drinking til 6am. lol.
I just need a new ICU. so Ill call them in a few and tell em it didnt work. They will probably remember me. The number I call gets me through on the first ring usually, answered by the same lady who transfers me to the same guy every time. They have awesome customer service, IMO.
Peace
ok so i got rsx injectors and i love boost!
Then i noticed another problem
The piping off the intercooler gets grinded when i turn my wheel all the way to the right. anyone else have this problem? plz pm me with some pics of where ur piping is.

I havent had any issues as in broken parts for 2 months. Thats how long its been installed,a nd so far, so good, but I dont expect that to last very long. something will break sooner or later, and probably sooner.
