Rep Power: 0 you are bouncing off the rev limiter every time you run and you need to get your traction under control.... the traction part takes some practiice but watch your rev limiter and shift 500-1000 rpm before redline...
other than that... good video...

Thats the Older prelude engine. 92-95 engine... Nice video and all.. But i hope that prelude was modded, because I have walked many preludes before i was boosted.....
When I was boosted, I annialated them!....... The H22A JDM is a different story though... they're are about 205-215whp. (there a bit on the heavy side though)
Even though they could be up there on HP. we can still take them at 8psi's due to *power to weight ratio*

Rep Power: 0 ANOTHER thing I noticed from the begining clip..
one of the reason's the 7th gen was catching up on there 1st run, was cuz that other Mother F**** on the H23 was looking back half of the time.. If you look closely you can c him intimidated by the 7th Gen... looking back
Thats one thing I did and learned when i raced.. I never look behind me till the race if over..... (either on track or street) that way I can switch gears on the right amount of RPM's *to keep it on the power range* & not REDLINE or shift to early.
+ you get better times..... If you're all about the milli seconds./... * .(smething)*

i had an encounter with one of the newer VTEC model preludes recently. on third gear from a 30mph roll on 4 psi of boost, i destroyed him. u could tell when it switched cam profile because he got louder, and gained a little, then fell back behind... and then i shifted into 4th... and i was gone.
you shouldve seen the face his friend made, he was like WTF!!! <--- just like that with a white baseball hat on.

You sure about that? 30mph roll in third gear? That would seem more likely to be 2nd gear if you ask me...My guess is I dont think you would have much power in third at that speed even with 4lbs of boost.

Rep Power: 0 Guys thank you all for liking the video
Now to clear some of the confusions, my car is a 7th gen 2002 sedan. Its a right hand drive (as are all cars in Pakistan). Another inetersting thing is that the egine we have here is D16W9 (1600 cc instead of the 1.7) but it looks the same as the D17. On that I have the SF kit and the rest of the stuff. The other car is a 96 civic sedan with an H23 and a lot of other mods.

a good modified euro r h22a will put down 215 whp, but the standard h22a will put down around 165-170 whp.

Rep Power: 338 ok, I just watched the vid ...
what kind of turbo kit do you have? ... either that dude is HEAVILY modded h23, or your turbo kit kinda sucks. but for sure, your tires suck.
when I had my sf turbo, at 7 psi, I was DEAD even with my friend's i/h/e H22 eg hatch from 0-110 (twice) ... that car is no joke either. I later raced him again in my friend's i/e 4 door gsr, 2 passengers, and he had 5 passengers and he smoked us like we were standing still.
I never had traction problems either ... but then that could've been because I had a stock clutch ... or my 225/50 goodyear eagle f1 gsd3's were awesome
edit: haha I just noticed ... you guys are rhd

Rep Power: 0 I think he was just simply launching too hard and thats all there is to it because I can still manage to jump off the line pretty well with a worn out set of street tires. Its all in how you launch. Atleast he still won though and thats all that matters.

The 91-92 Preludes have 3 types of ludes.,, I cant think of em' out of the top of my head, ( I've always disliked Preludes )
but they have the H23(non v-tec), H23 Type S (H23 V-tec) and then the H22(DOHC V-tec) <<<still sucks though!

H22a USA version, 190 hp, 158 tq ... not quite 200, but still pretty good power.
VTEC, not V-tec

Rep Power: 0 i dont understand everyones reasoning for bashing the h22a, ITS A SICK engine. made SUPER strong and SUPER powerful. No h22a with minor mods in a civic should lose to a d17 turbo civic, becuase they have so much more torque, and they are a little heavier but only like 80 lbs, which most people that have h22a's in civics will get back by gutting the interior. U guys need more track time, the H22a is a beast.
