TSI Kit-Bugs Out
and by bugs out i mean, TSI has "worked" all the bugs out of their kit for the d17. I called and talked to a guy from Turbo Specialties and was asking about the kit, told him I was interested. He said that the manifold issues have been resolved, and that it fits fine with NO fabrication needed to it. All of the intercooler piping/charge piping is all worked out also. You get to keep AC for SURE, no ifs an's or but's. Just thought I would let everyone know.

really..i might call them up and see if i can get the right intercooler piping from them. since i had to add a few pipes. maybe they can give me the right stuff. toook them long enough.
mmM if they can get it right...its a cheaper alternative too compared to other kits...but still you get what you pay for....
i mean yeh your saving yourself a grand or so...but i mean your gettin generic stuff (tsi bov?) compared to like the dezod kit where you get name brand everything

Very very loud too.ohhhhhh yeah. I alsmost nutted the first time I heard it. I was like, WTF??? It doesnt sound cheap or generic at all.
I posted a few days ago the issues with the kit. I installed mine last weekend.
Just have a dremel, a hammer, and possibly saws ready. hehe.
It isnt that bad of an install at all. Just still need some shaving of the top right (drivers side) of the manifold. They shaved some of it for the fitment issues, but not the right part of it, lol. I also needed to buy one flexitube from a store to be able to turn right a little. But you DO keep a/c, and the isntall isnt that bad at all. Have a few friends helping you and it will get done in about 30-40 hours i would say. Good luck, you'll like the kit, I got my new ICU yesterday, so hopefully I can tune it today to run good til monday (pro. tuned).
Peace

the Tial's and Greddy's are very high pitched compared to TSI's. The TSI bov is more of a louder mid-pitched PSSSSSSSSSSSSKAKAKAKAKAKA at low boost and PSSSSSSSSSSSSZZZZZZZZZKAAAA at high boost
good to know they got the bugs worked out.
eternal when ya gona fix your pipings
im nervious even for you hehe.
i love the sound of loud bov's but i want one as quiet as i can find due to i want my car to be a sleeper.

Here's 2 TurboXS racing bypass valves, H-34, H-25:

Note it says, "This valve is not loud compared to an atmosphere BOV."

Yeap, they only mate to their flanges, the good thing is though that the type RS and the Type S are interchangable on the same Greddy flange
