What do you guys think on swapping this motor in a 2001 civic ex sedan? Any suggestions? Does it look good? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

Try something in your local area first. Youd be surprised what you can find if your seriously thinking of swapping your engine. Its a lot of work, and make sure a lot of stuff is included. Cause in the ebay link, I see no axles fron struts or brakes, no wire harness, no ECU, no fuel rail, no strater, no AC.. All that stuff cost money, actually the price would go up quite a bit making it not worht going K20A3. You will also need Hasport Engine mounts.
Are you gonna swap it yourself?
Check this thread it might held you

I'm not sure if I'm right about this or not, because swaps aren't really something I know a lot about, but when you swap the engine you swap the tranny and axles. The axle hubs on the K20 have 5 bolts vs the Civics 4, meaning that you're going to have to mount the brakes differently. I might be wrong though, it might only be the K20A (ITR) engine that has 5 bolts, but I think the Si has 5 as well.

the bolts really don't mean anything except that 5 lugs have a wider selection o f wheels. Civic si has 4.

For the front RSX brakes you’ll need the RSX struts if you want the 5 lug brakes, the knuckles won’t bolt up to the Civic struts. So I'm not sure about the SI brakes and struts
Another thing you'll need is the Catalic converter, which isn't included

hey, i just did my swap (then preceeded to blow it thursday) but its not worth it really for a k20a3. i asked that guy to part it out and he said he wanted atleast $1k for just the block. imo save more and get a k20a (type-r) or at the very least k20a2. you will be very disappointed in the k20a3.
the 02-04 si's are 4 lug, 05's are 5 lug. so if it has axles with it you wont need new knucles or or anything.

i did the five lug conversion and i had my stock civic struts with eibach lowering springs, now i have tein ss for a civic as well.
if your going with the k20a3 i would recomend keeping 4 lug and if anything doing the si rear disc conversion way cheaper and you dont have to buy new rims

all i can say is race header. its about the same amount of money as like a type-r exhaust manifold or shorty header with cat and sometimes, cats are more expensive than headers.
good luck though, i love my swap, i plan on fixing up a new concauction now though, maybe k24a2, we'll see
