I am doin the K20A2 swap on my '04 Vic. I already have the engine and am just waiting for some upgraded parts (axles, clutch, etc.) to arrive so my tuner can do the swap. I am curious to know what our engine bay looks like with the K20A2 installed. I need to figure out where to relocate the battery and am not sure where there will be open space in the engine bay.
So, I'd really appreciate it if those of you with '01 and up Vix with a K20A2 could upload some pix of your engine bay. Positive rep points to all that upload their pix.

On the front left side of the engine bay right? I have seen one pic of a '02 Vic with the K20A2. Looks like there is enough room on the front right side of the engine bay in which to relocate the battery to. Seems like I'd just need to weld a mounting bracket there.

my bay is the 2nd one down. there is tons of room on the driver side of the bay. that white thing can be moved about anywhere as needed. the bitch of the battery in the engine bay is you would probably have to remove it to install any cold air intake. so i wouldn't want to weld it in there. i think dezod sells a battery relocation kit, you could just run 4 gauge to the trunk (you can see my power wire in the right of the picture, it's red) on near 0 degree days i have a few more cranks before it starts, but no real problems. and in cali no problems. you can see the one w/ the battery under the hood has a SRI. kinda close... kirk was referring to the IM and the front radiator supprt i think

i'd take a pic w/ my CAI for reference but
1. it's snowing
2. my engine bay is soooo crusty
3. i hit a dog last night and the driver side is all f'ed up.
no one sees my car ugly but me

Curious about what anyone who has done this swap has spent on everything, just an estimate i understand parts can be priced different and engines will vary. Just a ball park estimate would be nice!

I spent $5200 on the engine, tranny, subframe, axles, etc. I have spent another $4K on a Quaife LSD, Exedy Hyper Single clutch, Koyo aluminum radiator, Hasport mount Kit, Hasport conversion harness, Hasport Stage II axles and a JDM crank pulley. I still need to buy the K-Pro and Hondata IMG and then have everything installed (roughly $1K). Once my car is BAR'd, then I will be gettin the AEM Hybrid CAI, Toda RH, and a custom titanium exhaust (probably dual cans).
hmmm, going to have to save just a little longer. I did find a front clip about 3 hours from my house for 3200, not sure what type of shape it's in. I'm calling tomorrow, so I might be one step closer.
