copper exhaust manifold gasket?

My stock one is leaking prolly because it's ported too much around the edges. Would copper seal better and do they make any for the civic ex?

Copper really wouldn't seal much better. Some, but not much and I haven't seen anyone making one.

Try getting some really hi-temp rubber-in-a-can and putting that around the edges of the gasket to provide a crush seal. Just make sure it's made for exhaust gaskets. I've seen it at a few auto parts places around here, so you should be able to find some.

You might be good to buy the stock gasket, port it as best you can - and spray it with copper spray. A lot of the guys on honda-tech use it on their head gaskets - supposedly it works wonders....

Does it matter that I reused the old ported one. So if I port a new one will it seal better?

Technically yes - the job of the gasket is to crush or compress slightly, to fill the voids lf the other metals. Its supposed to be softer than the metal it fits between.

So - if you get a new one, which are cheap at majestic honda, it may work better....
