Well I went after the turbo install this weekend but ran into a small problem. after removing and installing most of the parts I found that the IC pipe that goes to the compressor didn't fit and I have to shave my front buumper support a bit. so im back to stock and slow and going after it again this weekend. I think I wil try cutting a bit of the fan shroud to make some room for the pipe. what do you guys think?any ideas? don;t mind the dirty looking IC piping, I just have it like that till I get it running right then it gets powder coated

Let us know how you end up doing it. I am ordering the same kit in a few days. Did you get it from needboost.com? If so, what type of fuel system did they ship you? Im curious since TSI has 2 options.

nope it's not a kit. It;s custom made. The Ic piping and manifold were custom made by SFP

I have no idea what that means for us but sweet! LOL.. you know they havea universal AEM EMS system.... so we can use it on the 7thgen,.... it just dosent come with maps lol

that means that we have a way to tune our ignition for the first time and we can build our heads and rev higher up and use larger turbos and get more power.

you can but you would have to run the piping under the subframe and make sure you have some good suspension so you don;t bottom out on it. Thats what some mebers have done.

The front motor mount is in the way. but im cutting some of the fan shroud and pulling the radiator foward a bit to give some extra room for the pipe. This bigger turbo is getting to be a real tight fit. I have loosen the turbo to clock it back and forth just to put it in the bay.

just shave down the bumper support, many people do this anyways when they put a full front kit on their car...some people even remove it, although it is there for a reason

should have made arrangements for rides or have a beater so you didnt have to put the car back to stock and attack it the next weekend...
