problem???

so im driving home from work and i was crusin in the middle lane, and 3 cars passed me going about 100. so i said f*** it ill keep up with them. i got to about 120 with these poeple and when i got to about 120 or a lil more i smelled antifreeze. no sign of overheating until i got off the parkway and was about 1/2 mile from my house. got home parked and looked under the hood and there was antifreeze on the engine, all over my IC piping, etc. it looks like its coming from where the antifreeze resvior is but i cant tell. i looked for about 15mins could see where its coming from. there was plenty of antifreeze int he car, no oil problems.

so later yesturday i went up north to my girls house and my car started to overheat about half there, to i turned on my defroser to keep it cool, and it was ok. but once i stopped that **** went hot. got to my girls checked again to see if any more anti freeze was all over and nothing. so idk wtf is wrong, anyone have a idea maybe????

so on friday i have a apt. with turbotrix to check it out and see whats wrong so it can be fixed. car runs fine thou, not showing any lack of preformance.

thanks

steven

could be just a leak, or could be the HG.

Wash out the engine bay, and then start the car and let it warm up. Then look for where the leak is. It could be something simple like too much coolant in the overflow tank, causing it to overflow.

Take it to a local carwash and use the pressure washer...that should do the trick...

Just pray it's not your H/G...

lol...yes it coudl be done, but thats entirly dependent on your wallet

Obviously the engine will be yanked for proper assembly of the parts, and you'll have some serious downtime...but it will be done correctly...nice performance h/g and bottom end will ensure safe boost and more PSI of fun!!

certainly ... lol my bad on the post

as said above, the h/g should be done in car!

Then again, if you're going to yank the engine for pistons, why not just swap k20??

well i already have work into this motor for one. second uf your willing to give me 5k shat im down for the swap. lol honestly im happy with my car and its engine. i dont care much about doing a swap, only if i needed it, and i had the money to do it. i would ready drop a few in the internals and know that i have a fully built motor and boosting then swap and start over again with spend mad loot. thats for your imput thou..

lmao imno retarted here. dam have some faith in me now. just wanna do things right and see how other poeples knowledge will bring me in making a desicsion. wow mental block there..lol

but anywayz, now if i need a new HG they have to take th head off. so if that do that, that will cost a pretty penny right? so i was htinking if they have to do that then why not just do the rest of the motor. idk thought on that?

If you plan on building the engine while it is out, that would be a good decision. Pulling the motor simply to do a headgasket is kinda excessive.

Check to see how full your overflow bottle is, and make sure the radiator cap is seated properly...It could be half on but still feel tight.

Like he asked like 3 times, how much is it for a new HG. Not installation, but just a HG ordered from online, possibly thicker to lower compression a little? Thanks alot! Ill do a search, but he asked a few times, I was curious as well, incase I need a new one sometime

Here is where I got my nippon leakless. Get ARP head studs (D16Z) and new genuine honda belts and you'll be in good shape.
