I just went through all that and many members on this board have experienced it as well. Your symptoms can be intermittent. It took me a while to figure out mine was blown, but I'm tellin you, you have a blown headgasket, theres no doubt in my mind about it.

well im thinking serious if its a blown HG then i wanna build the motor real quick while its out of comission for a minute. im guessing i need about 4k to get this all done.

mm just added pistons, rods, sleeves, and a few extra things and it came out to 2500. i mean thats a rough amount. so im thinking of maybe taking a loan out for 5k and just doing this. i want that boost to be at 20psi.

the two most common symptoms that show when a HG is slightly blown like a lot of ours have turned up is:

overflowing coolant resevoir and intermittent over-heating at idle. (fans may not turn on due to lack of coolant, partially because the engine the engine is forcing it out into the resevoir) In some severe cases white smoke plumes from the tail pipe and/or oil will look like milkshake on the dip stick.

well i work full time, i am a computer operator, i make 40k a year. so i think 3 or 4k wont hurt. but then i was thinking maybe just get this fixed and get a new HG. could i get a thicker HG so i could low the compession a lil bit. just to be on the safe side. then when the fall comes ill do the internals.

k so im thinking i have a blown HG then. cause overflow, and a lil white smoke comes out of the tailpipe at idle. but when driving or getting on it nothing comes out, fromw hat my friends have said. it just smells like a turbod care..mmm i love that smell. lol

Yeah I don't think there is like a high boost app for us yet lol, just turn down your boost a little till you get internals... btw what psi were you at when it blew?
