K20 owners... Gas Mileage?

Well I just got some RSX-S seats so i figured the goal now is to have an engine to match it :P

I think in about a year I want to do an K20 swap, thing is I commute daily and unfortunatly do the bumper battle for a majority of my day. What kind of gas milage do you guys with K20's get, there obviously different then the rsx's due to weight and tires and what not.

Rough estimates?

In traffic / city

highway?

km / liters prefered

just check out the acura website, those numbers should be pretty close if not on the money. I'm pretty sure rsx gets like 27 to the gallon or something around there...but thats just a guess.

mixed i get 26-29mpg, 10.8-12.1km/liter

best i got all highway was about 35mpg. 14.56 km/liter

it's still a honda 4 cylinder, you aren't losing that much in mpg. BUT you do pay more for premium, thats the sucky part. BUT premium also has way more engine cleaners to promote longer engine life, so that's a benefit

another question. If you were to get in an accident (god forbid) with your K20, what would your insurance have to say about a swap? Would they notice? Would they care?

they shouldn't, unless u need to change like the radiator or some engine parts... if u total it and the engine is still good, i would suggest to buy the car back and sell the engine parts
