dont plug it. thats goes to the wastegate to tell it how much boost is being produced buy the compressor so it can regulate the exhaust flow.

you'll need a fitting that threads in there and has a barb fitting on the other end of it so you can run a vacuum line on it to the wg.

i thought if i am running an external wastegate, it could just be plugged since the external goes to the vacuum line?

^^???? what external. the wastegate has a fitting that needs a boost line so it know how much boost the turbo is pumping out. you can plug it if you want and run that boost line from another source say higher up in the charge piping, but its really your choice

^^ the boost pressure comes right off the line of the external wastegate. His turbo used to be an internal WG and thats where the barb fitting was and the vacuum line would come of the compressor housing and go to the top of the actuator.

You can either run a barbed fitting from that hole to your wastegate or plug it an run it from a manifold pressure source. I, personally, am going to plug mine. I think it's a good idea to run your boost gauge from the same source you are using for the WG. Due to your intercooler and piping, the signal will show more pressure at the compressor than it will at the manifold. It probably isn't that big of a difference though.
