Turbo Manifold

I was just curious to see how many people out there would be interested in a turbo manifold. I was going to make my own, given that I'm a pretty good TIG welder and have a machine shop to cut the flanges, but I figure, while I'm at it, I'd try to help you all out too.

I was thinking the whole manifold out of carbon steel and use a ceramic coating (but I don't know where to get that done).

I could also do stainless with little problem, but it'd be more expensive.

The last option is Inconel (Nickel-Chromium Alloy used for the turbine blades of jet engines). But, that's REALLY expensive.

If any of you want one, I'll post pics later, let me know, no obligation, just a survey, blah, blah, blah...

what turbo flange are you going to use? Also we did this as well with our T304s charged 240-Silvia conversion. We sold a few as well. Worked great!

For my own project, I was going to use the TE04H turbo from an eclipse, but I can cut a flange for any turbo, if I am supplied with the *exact* dimensions.

Equal Length full stainless steel is the best you can go for the $. Good welders make them and resell them at 550-600usd so im sure it i'll only cost you around 300-400 to make probably even less. So go for it.

If you can build to this type of quality they can go for upwards of $1,000 and up...............

Ok, maybe I was a little vague before. To clarify, I plan on making myself a turbo manifold (for a TE04H turbo). On a side note, mine will look similar to the Dezod manifold, but I'm not trying to steal anyone's design...

If you are looking for an inexpensive (~$350) turbo manifold, let me know, so I know how much stuff to order. No obligation, I'm just trying to be nice (insert karma points here). I'm not making much of a profit on this, as the billable time on the CNC mill is around $150/hour.

So, if you would be interested in getting a turbo manifold (probably not equal length), reply here, or send me a message, or something...

On a side note, if you would like the manifold to have an external wastegate, you gotta tell me, and give me the dimensions of the WG flange, same with different turbos, I gots to have the dimensions, preferrably with calipers, but if you're really good with a fine resolution ruler... well... let's say that I will make it to exactly what you tell me...

I'll probably be placing an order here within the next two weeks for the raw materials. I can tell you that if you want one after that, the cost may increase due to shipping and stuff.

I hope you aren't all flooded and stuff like we are here...

SHouldn't be a problem for him as all T2 flanges are the same (T25, T28, GT28RS, etc)

Once the bands are figured out and jigged for a collector you should have no problem just welding different flanges for certain people's needs.

The only thing to consider on this is placing the flange far enough away from the block to clear larger turbos, but hopefully not too far as to interfere with the radiator or fans.
