IM BUILDING A K24 Frankenstein WITH K20A2 HEAD
I have pick up all the parts for my k20a2 swap, however i have decided to go ahead and go all out with the k24 bottom end. Ive seen dyno charts on clubrsx adn other sites and teh power/torque gains are sick!!!
I know only of Hondaluver who is in the process of doing the same, and i am wondering if any 7thgen'er has done this swap already.
If so, i have some concerns with the hood clearance, i know with the type-s the brace has to be cut, but is there enough space to accomodate the ~19.7 mm extra.
Also, i hear hasport mounts wont work for the k24 in our bays? Why? Its a K-series, adn if an rsx owner doesnt need them then neither should i. Is it only the hood clearance issue?
Whick reminds me, if our engine bay is same as the SI then why cant we use SI mounts for the K20? (assuming with k20 subraframe)
If these questions can be answered it'd be great! Thanks.

I know not of those questions that you ask - but I will ask this. Which K24 block are you using? I started a thread on HT a while back that you may be interested in:

So it seems the lower compression 9.6:1 (crv) block has deeper valve reliefs than that of the accord 9.7:1
Its a good thing to know because i was going to pick up my accord block tomorrow.
HOndaluver, when you get word on the hasport mounts, let me know.

just get the crv block you don't have to worry about some emitions and the intake mani suppostly doesn't work too big, you will have to swap out a rsx intake mani

Hondaluver,
I have everything for the k20a2 swap available except the mounts and axles. Im debating wether i should just stick with it or do the hybrid k42/a2. I have been doing a lot of research but i thought the valve clearance issue was just talk. I want a swap that is reliable and do not want to worry about bent valves or anything. I think the enjo mount will be my choice because they worked out the hood clearance issue for k20's and 24's.
Im kinda pissed because i cant pick up the accord blokc tomorrow. But im glad you guys posted otherwise i'd have bee a lot more pissed when i find out my valves are bent.

some guy on clubrsx swapped the tsx mtr in his car and with stock internals comptech rh, 2.5 exhaust, sri, overbore tb, hondata im gasket, stock type-s mani, and k-pro with partial tune and his dyno#'s were 214.5 whp and 181.6wtq. He even says that 7400 rpms is not enough and his mtr could see 8000 rpms. He also mention with better tuning, itr mani, and a cai he could reach 230 whp without touching the internals. All this info is from the thread but couldnt post it here for some reason.

im just doing this because i want to see what will happen, since nobody has done this in a em2...

Does anyone have the civic's or the RSX's ETM (electrical troubleshoot manual)?
Would be a lot of help.
Ive been looking into it and it seems the hasport kit is nothing but 2 brackets that are made to adapt 2 of the mounts. The other mounts (subframe) are direct bolt in. If anyone can verify this who has used the mounts it'd be some help since i can just have them made for A LOT less than $599!!
