ya they run around 8psi...well the older version..150 hp anyway, no clue what the 180hp runs...probably the same, i think they only changed the computer in that car to get it 30 more horses. and the stock turbo is a decent turbo in the vw, my buddy upgraded to an E05 turbo, which is a variant of the K05, and ran 21 psi on stock internals, but he also had all the bolt ons, intercooler, downpipe, inlet pipe, blow off valve, exhaust. it was one quick mother****er.

i find that hard to believe that at 22psi hes only making 220hp. hard to believe...at 22psi he should be making over 300hp very close to 400hp...cause stock is 276hp.intake, exhaust turbo back frees up like 30 or more hp...so its almost 300 with just intake and exhaust..

yeah, maybe he is talking about an evo? (276hp) but those are 5 speed.

r32 is a 6, and not turbo.

what car are you talking about?

What you forget to notice is the jettas and golfs are forged internals stock and a chipped 1.8t program will run it 22psi stock thus the 36whp gain and almost 40tq. Either the GIAC, Neuspeed, Revo chips will give you 22psi on most of their new chips. 36whp gain on a stock engine. My friend has a 2004 jetta. He has a FMIC, 2.5" Downpipe, GHL 3" Turbo catback, GIAC chip (those mods are under 3000CAD~2200USD). He's not to shy of 280whp.

If you're saying he's dynoed that much on his civic then i call . A ball bearing T28's efficency max's out at 350hp, plus anything near those number's will snap a 7thgen trans like a fat kid sitting on his glasses.

Those are spec fot the 5th Gen Jettas, the MKIV are 1.8lt engine,

also the have really small turbos i thinktheyre actualy smaller than a T25, that why even at High PSI's they dont produce lots of power, but when they upgrade to a K04 or K04 Sport thats when you need to get worried...
