D15 = D17 ???

My friend is selling the turbo off his 92 civic hatch DX. He has a D15 motor.

I wanted to know if that manifold will fit in a D17a engine?

also hes selling his chipped ECU, would that also fit in our cars?
im guessing since he has a D series engine, it would work

completely different engine. the only thing that would fit would probably be the spark plugs

nah, but take the turbo and charge pipes. Buy a manifold that fits. Get a fuel system. BAM instant turbo kit.

Nothing from that set-up will fit on your D17. Not the mani, charge pipes, ecu....nothing

His ECU is OBD1, your OBD2. Illegal to go backwards like that too.

Is this based on state or government regulation?

You could make the manifold work but it would be alot of work for a crap mani. I have a D16Y8 on my car (love it) (Look at my profile to see pictures and or click see my ride). And the ECU would never work unless you went to OBD 1.
