I guess this has never been discussed before, but I have a question. I looked all over internet for TSI turbo kits. What I could only see is the generic pic of it as attached below.
I do know that some people have theese kits installed on their D17's, but did actualy have the pics of delivered or installed kit taken?
I'm and I think not only I, curios of to see the real picture for D17 TSI kit.
If anyone has it, please post to view for others. Thx.

Good set of pics, Thanks buddy.
I saw that you had to save the mani, is thats so?
How do you find the installation easy/difficult/ok ?
Any specific install problems?
Quality of materials?

The things that have to be done off the drive way. E.g welding special fabrications (apart from tuning). Anything extra has to be purchased, and so on...
What fule managment system does TSI Extreme comes standard with?
What PSI?

no welding is needed, tuning the extra injectors, dont really need anything else, maybe a cam gear to adjust timing, or just run really high octane, so you dont have detonation... if you go to turbo discounters website they have alot of info on the fuel management. extreme kit is supposed to come with extra injectors that shoot extra fuel into the tb like nitrous. that is why the numbers are so good compared with other kits. ex. dezod is like 180 whp at 8psi, tsi is like 170 at 6psi. the extra fuel really helps!

I also will sent an e-mail to TSI to see what they say.
i hope you have seen that there are two types of kits, the superior and the extreme. the superior does NOT come with the aformentioned fuel system, the extreme does. so, there really is no standard system. it is relative to the type of kit that you buy.

They want to much.
I'm not desided where I will purchase it yet. I also run another theread in the forum, called: "Reliable TSI vendors" - collecting info on vendors.
But, I'm willing to buy it for $2600-$2700 with t-25 Ball Bearing.
Also, I look after DEZOD kit, it is out veryyyyyy soooon...
my reasoning, was that with the extra injectors adding more power to the kit, hp wise this kit will rival dezods. yes, his quality is better, much, much better in fact but, eternalvic is right, much more expensive. 2600 vs. +- 3700. that is 1000 to play with, tires, cf hood, seats, yada yada yada...

/\/\that's why i bought an already used TSI kit. Plus i'm gonna have a shop take care of the installation. All i gotta do is sit back and wait. A1 motorsports has already dealt with a couple of TSI kits for accords and B16's, so they should know what they're doing. Plus i already have the best ICU seetings provided to me by CrewCheif (TSI king!). All i gotta do now is wait til' the 7th.......when i get paid.....argh, it feels so far away!

sorry to barge in but I actually know the answer to that last question and I could use a few more posts...
The settings he is referring to deal with the provided Injector control unit or ICU. It is a stand alone unit that controls the two extra injectors in the injector interface. You can set the injector duration in tenths of a millisecond in two ways: one is by rpm and the other is boost level. So say that you are running a little lean when you reach -0.8 HG (which is still a vacuum) but you know that it is pretty consistently at 2500 rpms when you reach it. You can increase fuel by going to the setting for 2500 rpm on the ICU and increasing the duration of the injectors (in ms). However when you reach boost the rpm settings are overrided by the settings you have inputted for a specific boost level (0 PSI, 1 PSI, 2 PSI, and so on...). There is also an adjust rate on the ICU but the only thing I know about it is that you can run richer or leaner. I have mine set in the middle of the adjustment range.
