Questions On turbo install.

This thread is here to help me and others to come with any questions that may come along with installing a custom set up themselves.(I checked the Sf install thread but it wasn't much help to me.) Well to kick it off right I have a question. W

What strength bolts did you guys use to mount the manifold to the block, turbo to manifold? were the stock bolts used or new ones?

I used the stock bolts.

some tips........it helps to have a extra hand. Make sure u have a checklist to make sure everything was done. Test fit the turbo/mani to see if you have to rotate the compressor housing.

Blah, u will learn

oh, and i hope your car isn't a daily driver

yeah my car is a daily driver but im going to do the install on all the simple things then flat bed it to SFP to put the final touches on it and tune.

Has anyone relocated the IAT sensor to right after the filter and before the turbo? I am going to do it becuase of the preset location on my charge pipes by SFP. all i need to do is use the same gauge wire and soder it and extend it down right?

You need to have the IAT by the throttle body. The reading will be inaccurate by the turbo.

I could be wrong , but i think mounting it after the turbo will read too high a temp and will adjust timing and fuel the wrong way that would be ideal.
