FMU on returnless fuel system

How does an FMU work on a returnless fuel system? I have a Vortech FMU and I'm wondering how the hell it works with our fuel system . I know that an FMU can be used on our engine; is there another kind that is different from the Vortech that works for ours. I also need to know if an external waste gate with a 6-7 psi spring can be lowered to 3-4 psi with a manual boost controller, or do I have to change the spring? And which hoses go where on the waste gate and boost controller. I know where the BOV and boost gauge hoses go, but have no idea about waste gate and boost controller hose routing. Yes I know, I'm a f'ing noob when it comes to turboing.
