SF's oil pan fitting?
My install is due for this Sunday
(if all goes well till then). I showed the kit to my mechanic and he is somewhat not satisfied with the oil pan fitting that connects to the turbo. Anyway, my question is that those of you who used the same fittings, did it had any problems (even afterwards)? and did you do anything to improve the fitting?
Thankx!
P.S. Any advice/instructions/recommendations for the complete installation are highly welcomed

first picture. I just installed a greddy turbo kit on a ls integra. This is the way to go.
Your going to need to get one of these, i ordered mine though atp turbo. 4th picture down.
Turbo Threaded Oil Drain Flange kit
And you will need to get the fitting welded on to the pan. 20 bucks is worth it to be welded, instead of looseing your oil all over the ground, by using a rubber hose. =)

I agree that welding is much better. But for people that do not have access to a welder, the pan fitting is the next best thing. We havent had any problems when it is installed properly. Just be sure all surfaces are very clean and make sure you use some sealant.

Any other ideas ???
Can I get the SF connector welded to the oil pan directly?

I made a few, but very important improvements to my fitting and it is completely leakproof.
first of all, the bolts that came with it (with half the head cut off)......throw them out. Get new ones and put the fitting in a vise and take a file and file the weld only where the head of the bolt will fit.......therefore the bolt with a full head on it will sit flush.
When installing, put the same sealant u use on ur oil pan........in between the fitting and the pan. Slide a copper washer on the bolt and some sealant and put them in the holes. Put 2 nuts on each bolt and lock them and put some sealant on the threads too.
You should not have any problems with this at all then.
