i saw it in that 515 hp teg video that was posted in general auto and am just wondering what it is. looks like it goes between the wastegate and manifold. anyone know? sorry if i am a gl00b about this.

Thats the valve body of the wastegate. The diaphram actuator is located in the upper part of it. It's finned like that to help dissapate heat and make the diaphram last longer.
