what psi is the turbo car running?
if they're running around 8 psi, thats 200 whp from when boost kicks in onward. Are we running the 1/4 mile here?
I'm going to generally say that the turbo civic will win.

bleh, bottlefed 6thgen I know if running 50/75 shot. Run's mid 15's quarter mile. I think nicely tuned turbo would whomp on him...But I am biased. I hate people that just grab themselves a bottle and think they are hot ****...(like my 6thgen friend)

He isn't asking you if you think spraying is cheap.. he's asking what would win, granted you did answer.
Spraying is cheap yes, but it is effective. Driver's race.. the vehicles would be close to the same et..
wouldnt turbo win. I mean if the HP is equal. then the turbo would get 200 HP from halfway through 1st gear till the end of the race. With only a slight lag in between shifts. While the guy spraying(depending on his system) would only get that 75HP shot for maybe 3rd,4th, and 5th gear?
as a member that is spraying and has been spraying for over a year, I say bottle .... I've had lots of good runs in my 02 EX and have put the hurt on more than a few cars ... I can almost keep up with my brothers 98 Cobra and I'm spraying a 75 shot .... I have already smoked ( yes smoked 3-0 ) my friends boosted 90 prelude .... he was only running 7 lbs then but he'd crush me now - can you say built motor that is pushing 14 lbs in 2nd gear, then 22lbs in 3rd!!! hedrives around looking for Cobras and Camaros now ... Most imports know better in town ....
Its not uncommon for a 7th gen to run mid to low 14s on a 75 shot. I think its even easily capable to hit 13's on a 75 shot with the right combination of tires, weight reduction, clutch and a good hole shot. For someone running a turbo in a 7th gen I think they would have to be pretty well tuned and indeed would have to be putting down atleast 200hp to the wheels to hit the same numbers on the track, even with a good driver. You have to remember there is zero lag in a bottle so you can hate it all you want to, but like Ricerocketeer said in a previous post...cheap yes, but definitely effective. I can also vouch for NashVegasEX because I have a similar kill list using a 75 shot myself.
Here is a dyno of base run stock and of turbo. Can someone who is bottle fed post a dyno also. We can compare dynos and calculate weight to find out this race.

Here is a quote from an old thread about nitrous:
- Intake and header are both HP. I also have an HP high flow cat.
Dyno WITHOUT the N2O was 120whp and 106wtq.
Dyno WITH the N2O was what you saw 185whp and 208wtq.
Just goes to show you CAN make some nice numbers outta the D17....and you CAN run N2O safely if you manage your fuel. I'll be bumping the settings on the V-AFC soon to make sure I don't lean out. (they had been bumped previously but were changed for the N/A dyno run).
Can anyone find the dyno from these runs? Looks like awsome numbers. But not enough to beat out someone with a turbo with good tuning.

Guns, you've done well with your set up and I definitely give you a lot of credit for that, however I dont think you can determine the winner of a race based on dyno charts alone simply because the numbers are going to come earlier in the power band on a nitrous fed car than a turbo'ed car. The max torque numbers on the nitrous car are going to come around 3000-3500rpm. I know this because I've seen dyno charts from civics with nitrous before. If you're comparing a nitrous powered 185whp to a boosted civic with 200whp, the only real way to tell is to get them both lined up at the track.
