Or, how about actually using the WRX/STi for what it was designed for - road/rally racing. Spend all that money in tuning an already expensive car and you want to not use it for what it was designed? That's like putting shoes on your hands. Pointless.
honestly LOTS of people care about how fast it goes in a straight line. everytime someone posts a mod on their car, like a exhaust, intake, or even turbo, theres always people there to ask "so whats your 1/4 mile time?". just cuz the WRX was designed for rally cross doesnt mean it cant be good in something else. obviously wrx's/sti's are well known for being fast on the strip as well as on the course so your getting the best of both worlds with it.

jwcardy is on a distinguished road
my best friends wrx came from the factory pushin 12.5psi....added 3in exhaust, 3in up and downpipe, and turned boost up to 16lbs and only ran 13.5 in 1/4mile...upgraded turbo added sti injectors, fuel pump, fuel cut defender, upped boost to 20lbs and corrected everything with safc2 and we will see what it does at the track next weekend....

19lbs is very doable in the d17...you just have to build it and tune it right...it all comes down to the tuning....

when i had my sf kit on, i was smoking factory wrx's like crazy...when i caught traction in 2nd, i would pull on then, then in 3rd, i would walk away and keep on walking...and that was with me on 8lbs on the sf kit with the standard t3 turbo...and in 3rd gear, i would give my buddy with his 13.5 wrx a very good run for his money...from a role, it was neck and neck...he couldnt leave me...

Here is the WRX that I speak of. If anyone wants closer pictures, let me know and I'll see what I can do about getting them.

ya and if n e one had the money to buy enough stuff to run 19 psi a)they wouldnt have bought a 7th gen and b) they would just buy a better car to boost or upgrade --thats why there is a shortage of "19 psi" d17s -- thats why 5 companies dont make turbos for them like rsx type s', -- thats why jackson racing doesnt care about making a supercharger. -- a 7th gen is an economy car in every way not built for performance. the best u can hope for is to beat other factory cars with nothing done to them. this is of course after u have bought a turbo kit, upgraded clutch maybe a lsd tranny, hopefully the engine holds but u know that will need upgrading eventually too etc, etc... there is absolutely no one that has a 20k $ car (cdn) that would put 15k$ into it thats why companies like cybernation who sell tons of turbos for fast cars dont make a d17 kit , greddy no kit, hks no kit, apexi no kit, JR no SC, comptech no SC, the list goes on... u get these "quality companies like sf.... n e one that can afford a crazy set up starts w a better car. ppl that buy civics do it cause u get a great reliable, good gas mlg, SLOW car , u cant win every category. the few that do have turbos on there 7th gens will not come n e where near a 300whp STAGE 1 cybernation rsx type s .(that turbo costs just bout the same as every other turbo kit) just for example go to rsx forums and see how many 300hp at least cars there r vs how many even have a turbo here... stage 1 sf kit 165 whp CN rsx s kit 280-300 whp hmm wheres ur money better spent...i have a 7th gen and i love it for what it is, but im not blind to the fact that it is basically one of the lowest hp, and slowest cars u can buy on the market- a dinky suzuki aerio has 50%more power , miata factory turbo, pt cruiser,u name it we really only beat out kia and daewoo -yay....
