Autometer LED boost gauge....check it out!

This was in the works since last Nov, but I really haven't taken any pictures of it because its been in my car until tonight (thought I was getting my turbo parts back in Feb - boy was I wrong!).

Anyhow, if you can't tell - I've modified an Autometer A/F ratio gauge to work as a boost gauge. Best thing about it? It can be calibrated for whatever boost you are running. Its going to be running off of a GM 2 BAR MAP sensor, so my setup will be good for up to around 14 PSI or so (don't plan on running this high anyhow).

its cool but would get confusing with your real a/f gauge... but Tight none the less... if autometer came out with a boost gauge like that but said BOOST GAUGE and had diff numbers on it now that would be BADASS!!!

Edit- I just found the post I was looking for.

Someone took what you just did a step further, and installed the LED's in the gauge faces. One of the coolest gauge mods I've ever seen.

For my use (right now) - I only plan on running 9 PSI. 5 PSI is going to be the top dead center LED. 9 PSI will be 2 LEDs into the yellow...

I had to modify the gauge.....Took it apart, resoldered some things...

Not only that, but it now needs an external power supply (5 volts), which is fine because the GM MAP sensor needs one too...

It's cool. I guess once you got used to it, it would be alright. I think I'd still prefer a standard boost gauge.
