I'm about to inish my tubo intall, but i was wondering, what was the best combination of water-alcohol, also what kind of alcohol would be the be to use, i can't get Methanol here (live n' Mexico), so what other type of alcohol could i use......

hey man

isopropyl aka rubbing alcohol works fine. You can also go with denatured alcohol. I heard 70/30 works best with rubbing

please do not run over 8 psi ... I blew my headgasket twice because my boost controller had trouble learning my boost (due to a bad clutch). my friend also blew his trying to run 12 psi... he fixed it, but now he's not going over 7. also be careful when u floor it for the first time to make sure u don't overboost

Meth only. I have a 231 dyno as proof. With alch and water 50% mix I only made 186 at the same boost. I was a little lean and the meth seemed to add fuel it needed.

For me it did because at 10-11psi I was lean. The extra fuel from the meth made it run alot better.

According to what I read, straight methanol actually increases temps, even though it increases octane rationg and fuel. If you do 50/50, the car will be slightly cooler, which will help resist detonation, even though there's less fuel going into the engine. A simple fuel computer, richening up the mixture would be best as well. I have my emanage set to +5% fuel until it get's properly tuned.

Have you checked the octane rating for pure methanol? It is very high around 145 which reduces detonation and burns cooler. But I could be wrong. I learn through trial and error.
