I would say get the B16A out of the SiR and then sell the tranny. Find a tranny out of an Si here and then slap that on. IIRC, the 99-00 Si has a hydro tranny.
Take and put the B16A on an engine stand and with the extra $2500 you saved, build it. New pistons, rods, camshafts, crank. Build it and go all motor.

$5k shipped for a B16b??? wtf, you can get it for much cheaper than that ...
infact, just like hawk said ... just get a jdm b18c. Either r spec or gsr spec ... it'll run you MUCH MUCH cheaper than a b16b. B18c's will run about $4k + shipping, b18c spec gsr will be able $500-1000 cheaper than that... not to mention both motors are strong and have much better torque and response to mods.
b16b ... only good thing about this is LSD and revving to 9k stock. However, all it is is a built Si motor
B18c Spec GSR
10.6 compression (?)
180 hp
128 tq
redline 8200
B18c spec R (98+)
11.0 compression
210 hp <---15 more hp than a b18c5
134 tq
redline 8900
LSD
edit: if you need some b18 motivation, goto hondata.com and download the Erick's Racing GSR vid. A guy has an all motor 2.0L (bored b18c1) running flat 11's, revving to 10,800 rpms

If you're gonna go auto with any one of these 'performance' motors, it's going to be a waste of time and money probably. The only reason I'd keep it auto is because I'd be boosting it. Other than that, I'd go MT.

What motor do you have now? I'm going to assume a D16Y8.
What you can do is just get the package and then sell off the tranny and try and find an AT. AFAIK, the motors aren't any different as to what transmission bolts up to it. Meaning if the motor was originally MT, you can bolt an AT to it.

if you ask me its B18C-R or nuthing, but if you don't wanna spend the extra loot, go for the b18c (GSR) If you plan on turboing you might wanna look into a B18b with a b18c head (LS-VTEC). You get low compresion pistons and a good flowing head. Plus b18b's are pretty cheap.
