turbokits.com has turbo setup for us for like $2,800 i think. probably around $3000 shipped, plus another $1000 to install at shop, if not more...then as far as tuning i have no idea, so your looking at 4000 at the least, i wouldn't say any higher than $5000 tho.

I'm fixing to order a kit soon...and im hoping that i only need around 4K, but i'm sure it'll be more...

My stock clutch was slipping at 7psi before. I beat the hell out of the car so it didn't have much left anyway. My ACT extreme is awesome, supposed to hold 275 pounds of torque at the wheels. I know I'm making some decent power, because even though the clutch isn't slipping at all, after the third drag run she starts to smell haha...

I do plan on eventually going with lower compression, along with some other things. Right now my main concern is 13sec 1/4 mile times with my audio system in my car, and without slicks. Once I can do that, I'll push on...

if you get a turbo, then my advice is to GET AN AFTERMARKET CLUTCH FIRST
Yeah, I know a guy running 11psi on stock internals and it's a daily driven car. He puts in methanol in once a week on top of the 91 octane and he said it keeps his motor like ice and stays cool really well.

could you guys throw some advice as far as putting a turbo on an auto? i'm not sure if it'd be as succesful as a stick, but i was also wondering if there any stock internals you should try and upgrade to something stronger so that your turbo doesn't screw the engine. i probably wouldn't run too high of a boost since i'm.....scared... but, wasn't sure if 7-8psi will screw up my stock internals.

Not a good idea to run a turbo from a junkyard depending on how much you spent on it, For one reason. you dont know how hard that turbo was ran. meaning for all ya know the turbo could go out on you say in 300+ miles.. i had a friend that was hella hard on his turbo'S ( yes thats plural) HE WENT THREW 3 i like 11 months.. then decited that it wasnt worth it. ( no shi# hu?) but anyway my 7th gen isnt turbo'ed (yet) but it the best bang for the buck as one just previoulsy stated.

well figure this. D16a on a 97 civic (smaller engine higher compression) turbo runnin 10 psi of boost. no fuel controller, runnging msd ignition. is running circles around sti's.

Now. a D17a 03 civic (larger engine lower compression turbo running 7psi of boosts , w/ VafcII controller. out running the D16a civic.

thats about how much
