turbo or nos on ragged out civic
i have an 01 civic ex with about 95,000 miles on it. i'm curious as to whether or not i can safely turbo or add a nitrous kit to my car without breaking anything. can you guys give me some insight on which would be safer, if either, and what i should go with.
thanks

well i've never had a problem out of my motor at all. i know it's getting near time to change my hoses and timing belt and what not, but other than that it runs like a kitten. really the only thing i figured i'd need was a beefier clutch. are our stock axles strong enough to hold up to 180 to 200 whp or is upgrading to say RSX axles recommended?
on a side note where would be the best place to get a compression test done?

you'll be cool with the axles... but definitely buy a high performance clutch! 200+WHP should be more than you really need as for a daily drivin car... I got Nex Wet Kit spraying 50shot and roughly I'm runnin atleast 160WHP and I feel like i'm the fastest **** out on the street...
I don't know if I was so used to the NA 7thgenCivic speed!
if the car is not paid off trade it in for an rsx or somethin...
if it is and not giving you any problems keep it!
just my .02c

i still owe a little bit on it... but i honestly did think about trading it in for a rsx but so many people have them around here and not a lot of 7 gens around here are hooked up. so i kinda like mine.. ya know?
definately know what you mean. Go for it, either one. I say turbo...turboing is a life style, people will flip out more to see a turbo civic than one on laughing gas, thats just my opinion. But i think either way you're car will be fine. If not and the motor go KABOOM, u can find out for 400 bucks

my car just rolled over 89,000 miles, and it is an 02 model...i just took off my SF turbo kit because i am completing my custom kit...my car loved the boost...never had a problem with it...i think it is just as addicted to it as i was...so yeah, higher mileage vehicals can handle the boost too...look at most of the aftermarket boosted cars...what are they...older civics, integeras and whatnot....my buddy just dynoed on his hatch with gsr with 110,000 miles on car...he made 328whp on factory gsr....you can do it....

if you have a fast car people will say "damn, that's a fast car" IF THEY THOUGHT you have a slow *** car with a small *** d17, and can smoke a subaru or s2000 every now and then, people will say "holy ****!!!
that car was so fukin fast"
