Question turbo question dont know what to do?

ok guys ive been up this morning looking at all kinds of posts about turbos. Ive never owned a turbo, but i really want more power. I recently emailed jackson racing and they said they are not looking into making a supercharger for our cars anyways. So i thought maybe a turbo, but i need to know what kind of problems i would have if i installed and ran it at about 5psi for my daily driver. Also, can you install it w/o the intercooler because i just got a tsunami front bumper and dont want to cut it up. If i just ran at 5 psi would there be any problems with my car fuel, cel, anything. I have an 02 EX btw. Thanks for the help guys

StreetLevelPerformance is on a distinguished road
You will be fine at 5 psi. I'd run an intercooler, I don't think it will be a problem with the Tsunami bumper. Just make sure you understand the consequences of your actions when driving it and you will be fine. Also, this is very important, make sure you get it installed by a shop that knows what they are doing.

Good Luck

you will need some type of fuel system to compensate for the extra air. I highly suggest getting a FMIC no matter what psi u run.

search....it all depends on where you get the motor and parts, whose going to install it for you, etc. A K20a2 swap can vary between 4-9k. There is no set price. Along with the motor..you are going to need ALOT of other goodies. It would be cheaper to turbo your D17...however it wont be as reliable as a k20a2. The power you get from a turbo'd D17 can be equal to or greater than the power you get from a swap.

So if you do the swap it will be more reliable. Plus can you put a jackson racing supercharger on the k20a2 once you do a swap in it. then you will have more power and a more reliable engine. Right? with the supercharger. Oh and also can i do it myself , and what other goodies you talking about?
