Jdm Dc5r Problems
ok heres the machine: 2003 HONDA INTEGRA TYPE R, A.K.A. K20 JDM DC5R.... i have the engine, tranny, ecu, engine harness, and the 4 rotors that the car came with. i bought the axle set from hasport for $400 with $200 in overnight freight charges (dumb idea) and now the damn axles dont fit in the outer CV joints... they fit fine in the tranny tho.... i am figuring, that the axles are for the USA type s k20a2 swap and thats y they are too thin..... any ideas on this? PLUS the skunk2 coilovers dont fit in the front either.............. but the bright side is that the engine runs great, (on jack stands......cant burn any rubber yet)
Well, the only thing you can really do to make them fit is to get the outer joints for the itr and replace the outerjoints on your type-s axles with them. I had to do this with my swap, except i had type-s axles with civic si outer joints to fit my stock hubs. Hope this helps...

the engine and trans came with 4 rotors, 4 calipers, 4 knuckles, and the little circular teeth inside, i am assuming that the teeth inside are the ITR JDM cv joints.... they are larger than the axles..... teeth on both ends dont match up

You should have got the 02 or 03 SI Axels. They would have fit with no problem and let you keep the 4-lug. You need the RSX outter knuckles. That should fix it. Check out some junk yards. Or local parts shop.
if your doin a 5 lug set up with all dc5r parts then you need the dc5r axles cuz its wider than a type s. The haspoert ones im sure are make to keep you four lug setup thus them being to small. The bigger splines is for the 5 lug setup up.Any rsx axles will due unless you are using he Dc5r suspension

im lost! lol, i have 04 civic si struts & springs, with the dc5r rotors and calipers.... i sent my axles back to hasport, they said for $50 they can change the ends to fit the 5 lug.... what u think? where would i get dc5r axles from if i needed them?
well tell hasport your situtation. IF your are doin 5 lug with type R suspension then ull need the the longer DC5r axles. IF your are using the type s or base suspension then the hasport ones will do
