adjusting cam gear--quick help
Okay, before I put this on, I need to know what to set it at other than zero. I have the DH ported head (milled down 1mm=higher compression), and my idle is really rough. The car shakes back and forth when I let off the brake from a stop. So do I need to advance or retard the timing? How much? Someone please help.

Care to elaborate on that? I'm willing to get a different cam gear and have someone install and tune it, but I'm not putting any aem stuff on my car anymore. Thanks for any help. I just want my idle problem fixed. Oh and the head is milled 1mm.

Something like this kit...

I'm not sure if it works with the civic, but you get the idea of what you need...

You degree the cam to stock specs using it... Or lets you add or remove degrees of cam timing.... It makes sure eveything in the geometric equation all lines up....
