Front Mount = Overheating?

Hello, I recently purchased a 2004 Civic EX, 5spd and had a question for those who have front mount intercoolers. I owned several modified DSM's in the past and the ones that had front mount intercoolers always ran hot, especially with the AC running. Are your engines running any hotter with a FMIC installed? Looks to me the front mount will block as much of the radiator as it did in a DSM.

I'm asking because having driven DSM's for 10 or so years the odds of me installing a turbo on this slug are a given, but, I don't want have to upgrade the radiator and other parts as well - been there done that way too many times Perhaps I'll only run 5psi without a front mount, I'm just looking to get some more power out this car, I'm not looking to get back into racing again, I'm too old for that and it's just to darn expensive.

Appreciate any details you can offer Thanks for listening and I look forward to being a part of the Civic<boosted>community.

- Jafo

i haven't had any problems with running hot.......but ususally boosted cars will run a little hot b/c of the extra stress that is placed on them. I really don't forsee the FMIC's blocking air from the radiator.......at least to make a difference.

Yeah can't say that I have ever noticed it running hot- I never run my a/c b/c it pulls so much on my engine with my pullies anyway but I guess it depends where you live to survive w/out a/c- upstate NY is OK w/out it.
