B16 Swap Update
nice swap. but what i dont get is why dont you just go k20. has more potential and IS the new family of homda motorswaps. you see eg's ek's integra's with k20's now. maybe you just wanted to do something that wasnt done before but if i were in your position i would say **** it and go k20. with all those parts there your prolly pushing same whp as a k20 with i/h/e and hondata. and the k20 is street legal. IM NOT BASHING YOU im just simply askin why? oh yeah good job and keep us posted.

1. If he's building a car for a 1.5L class, then why would you start with a 2L motor? It makes sense just from a displacement standpoint.... just shrinking the bore a little makes a lot more sense than essentially reducing a K20 to 3 cylinders.
2. You can get far more parts right now for a B16 than a K20
3. People know and understand them. People still don't really know what to do with the VTC part of iVTEC, consequently, you can't really tune it as finely.
4. If you're building a full blown race car... a B16A is a hell of a lot cheaper than a nearly brand new K20.
5. Its dumb. Its probably OBD1 or OBD0 rather than the who knows how many sensors floating around in a K engine... anything the computer doesn't know about is for the better.
I applaud your handy work, your ingenuity and your willpower to get that thing in the car. I wish you good luck however you're going to race it.

Sad thing is they probaby wont get owned by a 7thgen, since the 7thgen weighs slightly more than the 6th. But good job man!
