Car falling on its face in mid-range

Ok, if i am in mid-range (around 3000-4200 rpms) and i jump on the throttle and the turbo starts spooling, the car is falling on its face and it acts like it isn't getting enough fuel. Then after 4,200 rpms it is fine. I checked the fuel lines and they are hooked up correctly, that is if SF marked the fmu right. I used 3/8th's fuel line, i wonder if it is too big maybe

anybody have any ideas ??????

Fuel cut was the first thing that I thought. Maybe thre pressure switch on the fmu is lagging for some reason. Either way it sounds like you're detonating. Be careful or kiss your motor goodbye.

Maybe the black box isn't sensing boost and turning on the inline pump right away?

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? That will tell you what is up with the pump just by watching it when boosting.

Hard wire your inline pump like the rest of us that dont have the black box did. At least that will elminate the possibility of black box failure.

doesnt matter. it will actually start flashing.
My cel starts flashing in 3rd and 4th gear when i have cvs bought 91% alcohol in the tank.
BUT when i run without the alcohol ... with nothing the car runs 100% better.

Try using real Methanol. I bet that solves alot. I have 2 hour drive to get my hands on some so i have yet to do so.

BTW... WHAT PSI are you at? CAUSE i notice problems after 6-7psi with the alcohol.
but i run daily at 11 with no alcohol and no problems.

u can get it through SF. all it is , is an injector, and a pressure sensor switch which activates it.

u people running double digit boost on a stock motor, with just some alcohol going in, are a bomb ticking down to zero.

ive got alot more **** done that most people on here and still i dont do the stupid stuff u people do, i dont run double digit boost unless at the track, or can forsee something necessary on the road. i dont even have a setting on the boost controller for a setting that is double digits and street usable, i have to load a emanage map and use race gas for my double digit setting

i gotta friend building my k20 block from the ground up as we speak.
when its done.. im gonna shut the wastegate and let the turbo spool as high as it can go and just watch the d17 BLOW

Why dont you sell your motor to exospeed.com or something? They need motors to develop parts for our cars.

Do you have an LX then? I suppose that may be possible on race fuel. But the EX has too high of a compression to safely run that kinda of pressure...
