Internal Wastegates?
Is a boost controller of any use with an internally wastegated turbo? i know the wastegate is preset to 8 psi but is there anyway to raise it or will it always be set there?

What he said... but if you want better response at a higher psi, or want more than one setting, get the boost controller.
Basically put... a boost controller can only stop an amount of air from reaching the actuator, and can't force it. So it can only be a boost setting at or higher than what the wastegate actuator is already set for. That is also to say until the point the internal wastegate starts to cause boost spikes. A preset of 8psi for this car sounds way to high. Best bet would be to set it low, and use a boost controller to go higher. Again, depending on the turbo, exhaust, and everything else, a boost controller should give you a quicker response by taking care of any boost creep.
