New Dyno 5/11/04,10psi

Went and got dyno'd again today, a lil better results than last time....Tuned it at 10psi and pure methanol. I have had good luck at 10psi and I think I will stay there... Played with the intercooler sprayer with inconsistent results. Turned it off and used the VAFC2 to lean it out a little and squeeze out 10whp more from last time. It was a warm humid 80 degree day so it should be off a little. Maybe 10hp more on a cool day.
Keep in mind there was no fan infront of the car blowing on the intercooler. Most shop use a huge Hollywood style fan to blow on the engine and the intercooler to simulate the air that you would have blowing on it keeping it cool on the road.

I am still on stock internals. I left it rich for a buffer to increase boost to 12psi at the track and squeeze out a little bit more power. The extra boost and air at the track willl lean me out a little and make it just right.

So lets say I am at 230whp at 10psi.
That shou be about 250whp at 12psi. maybe slightly less.

So my math says 250whp plus 20% loss to the ground gives me 300hp at the crank...

Can I say I have a 300hp car or would that be a lie?

drivetrain loss in a 5sp. will only be 10-15%... auto 20%... so its a lie.. sorry .. i would like to see you get up to 300hp at the crank that would be sweet on a d17

Honda advertized 130hp for my EX.. I dyno'd it stock at 97hp. So on this car it looks like it looses a lot to the ground. 30hp +/- was lost on a stock engine to the ground.

Dont burst my e-bubble....

I see that you used pure methanol, wherre did you buy it? I have a place that offers methanol but they offer about 10 different types...

of the 10, I'm assuming either purified methanol or absolute methanol... Any of those work?

Be careful. It would suck if you were racing one of these people for 5 bills and your junk blew up...

I am looking into a direct port setup to get the methanol evenly to each runner.

The upgraded T3 from SF. I think the SF T3 turbo upgrade is the 60 trim. I cant say for sure. Put I spool-up quick, not much turbo lag.

I think I buy the Race Fuel grade methanol from Sunco Fuels. I buy it from the track.

What system are you using for injecting the methanol? Are you using the same alcohol injection kit and just pouring methanol in it?

Exactly what does that mean, stock right down to the pistons, or just upgraded pistons.........
