this sucks...
Well this week i was planning on finishing a lot of my turbo project on my civic since its spring break. The intercooler was getting installed, the piping done, BOV, turbo of course, and what not. Well after discussing the fact that the turbo WILL VOID my warranty my mom had no problem until her friend came down and said that if anything breaks on my engine im **** out of luck, well considerng i pay for everything on my own, do everything to my car on my own(with help from friends i know) this wouldnt be a problem because i could fix it. So she says my brand new civics not getting a turbo on it because its a new car and if i broke something and couldnt drive it id be mad....SOO, i either A.)have to sell all my **** i bought and do something with my money or B.) look for an old beater i can fix up and do whatever the hell i want to to it, so heres my options for keeping my turbo stuff
92-95 Civic 5 speed, EX most likely or maybe Si
91-93, 94, 95 integra 5 speed LS, GS, RS
Mk3 supra probably already turbo
Eagle Talon, not a big DSM fan but i know boosted right they can ball ***
96 previous Camaro V6 or Z28, preferably 5 speed but id take an auto
So what do you suggest for turboing? Or maybe supercharging if i can make my money back...i think on the older civics and tegs if you go custom you have to replace the intake manifold correct? Also with the fuel situation would a SF kit work? As far as supras i know what i have to do there if its a N/a to begin with, same with a talon...thanks for the help

dude... warranty sucks anyway....if you are worried about warranty, get you another oil pan and stick it in your garage and if anything happens to you car, take off the kit, and put on the oil pan that doesnt have a hole in it, and then take it to the dealership....but first off go and kick your moms friend in the face.....hahhahahha....man, nothing will happen to your car if you dont get carried way....i have the sf kit and i run daily 7lbs...and my car has 83,000 miles on it...i run the car too man, my car loves boost....i havent had any problems with anything...only a cel for running rich, which i am going to fix with my safc2 that is in the mail..
....dont worry about it man...you will be fine

yea, maybe i can convince her to change her mind. It's weird like you said, i pay for everything so why should she care. I dont know, maybe i'll just wait until this summer when i move out and go to college and install it then...that way she won't have to know. Either way im getting a turbocharged vehicle no matter what...im a boost junkie, today i was coming back from blockbuster and on the other side of the highway saw the sickest white WRX and heard its BOV over all the traffic, i just smiled and got this weird tingle
