honda turbo or mustang engine
Not sure if this is the place to post the question but it does deal with a turbo. I have been wanting to save up to get a SF turbo kit but my girlfriend has a 1979 Ford Mustang Cobra that we are trying to fix/restore. I am not sure if I should get the turbo for my car, that is running, or buy a new turn key crate engine of the Mustang. Here is the link for the engine:

Last time I talked to them the price they quoted was cheaper than on the site. Any comments are appreciated.

$4,400 is about everything you need to turbo your civic turbo kit plus the extras and your car is already running and in good physical shape (interior & exterior) im pretty sure a 24 yr old car is gonna need alot more than an engine .... its up to you if you're into the whole classic car thing and can afford to completely restore the car go ahead. also you have to think about other stuff like insurance ...older faster car ..no abs, airbags etc insurance might be high, but, if you're planning going to the track i'd stick with the civic, major weight advantage.
Edit: if it was me i'd turbo the civic

save a little more money and get the EFI mustang engine...
you can crank some good ponies outta that...just be sure the ttranny can hold the hosepower.
usually automatics can hold more torque than the stick shifts.

Well we got engaged over Spring Break. So I hope not Drk01Civic. (taking the joke) But that would suck and I am sure it has really happened to people.
She is working on finishing her degree in CAD. I work as an RN. So I definently make more than she does right now. I would like to do both just trying to decide which to do first.
