MAP SENSOR QUESTION (10psi?)
Just a quick question. Is 10psi of boost attainable w/out modification of the MAP sensor? Or will it go crazy once it sees this amount of boost?
I did a quick search but couldn't really find anything that answered that particular question. I spoke to the shop today and one of the employees said something of the like. Not sure how correct he is and the owner wasn't there so I need to see if he was in fact correct.
So .... please if anyone has any info on this let me know. Also, if the MAP sensor DOES INDEED need to bemodified...someone please tell me how?
Thanks.

missing links and or turbo blox will work a little better than check valves. Joe buemi the head of sales for my company was running alot of boost on his H22 swaped accord and we had 3 or 4 bleeder valves onit. it would lose to much pressure and ran like crap @ idle. we replaced the check valves with the missing link and its has run great ever since.

the new map sensors will hold up 10 to 11 psi before throwing a code according to my hondata rep. but i would block boost to map anyway just to be safe. or clamping would be another route.

Thanks alot for the input guys. I'd always heard of a missing link but never really understood what it did (thanks boosted2k2). I'll prolly be looking into one of these soon as my car is back.

well i thought the MAp sensor would never know if your running boost if you doin the same set up as me
the SAFC tell the ECU that your runnin lean to increase the fuel
so it thinks that the air flow is the same as stock no matter what the MAp senor reads
the AFC just fools the ECU into supplying more fuel to accompdate the newly acquired air flow that we like to call boost.
is this right?
