Rep Power: 0 quick fuel system Question
i could not find a clear answer in the search, seemed to be difference in opinion--is it absolutely necessary to get an E-manage system(or something like it) or do a fuel return line when building a custom turbo setup? can i just get new injectors?

Rep Power: 303 either way, if you replace the injectors you will need to modify your fuel rail to fit them.
an emanage, with return, and larger injectors would be the best way to go. you need a shop to modify your fuel rail to allow for longer than stock injectors.

Rep Power: 0 If you want bigger injectors, it's not as simple as just "replacing them". There are still no for sure answers about what injectors will be direct replacements on our cars. Some that have been suggested however are the Si (EP3) injectors, which are about 300+ cc's and then there are the STi injectors which are 500+ cc's. With 500cc's you'll need a system that can trim the fuel down enough to get you to idle properly.
And no, the emanage is not absolutely necessary. Most people that use it use it because of the timing retard option. These are usually people that have opted not to go with the alcohol injection system.
DO a little more research and you'll be able to decide. But neither the return conversion, nor the e-manage are absolutely necessary. There are other options.

she's 100% correct. Im switchin from the VAFC2 to the emanage because of the ignition option alone lol

Rep Power: 303 if your looking to do all that for 8lbs of boost just save yourself the trouble and buy the SF fuel system seperate... it's tuned for up to 12psi on stock injectors.
8psi is a walk in the park for that thing, and it takes about 20 min to install

Rep Power: 288 I'd be curious to know what the fuel pressure going into the injectors is at 8 PSI on that kit.....remember, the higher the boost, the more psi you will need in the FMU.....high fuel pressures are not uncommon in a setup like this, and the stock pump / injectors / seals are going to complain eventually....just some advice....

Rep Power: 0 i think i am going with vafcII, and i read on this site that old passat injectors are 330 cc and fit in our rails with slight modification. anyone of you got vafcII, did you get it tuned at a shop and how much did it cost to have it tuned.

A spacer can fix anything.
He is running a SAFC2 to adjust the fuel alittle. He is running a Vortec FMU on stock retrunless system. He is pushing 7-8psi and running good.
He posted a instruction in a past thread. Just do a search.
PM him directly or do a search for speedfetish in Houston and call him up.

Torque King ran 14psi on stock SF kit and running pure methanol. No issues no blown head gasket. No rods thrown like baseball bats. The plastic is actually a good idea it does not get heat soaked and heat up incoming air. maybe not good for boost. But for the stock engine it is a good idea.
