Hey guys. I'm just wondering HOW rich all you turbo 7th gens are running. Man i'm polluting the air like crazy. So my exhaust gas comes out smells a lot and people following me always fall back or pass me cause of so much gas. I was wondering if there was a way to tune the SF fuel system to be less rich cause it seems hella rich. My a/f gauge just goes way green to the right side. When I'm idling sometimes on cold days it seems like my car is engulfed in a cloud of gas haha. Alright thanks for the help.

Rep Power: 0 Who with boost has gotten the VAFC2 to tune a SF kit? If you are under boost isn't the MAP sensor at 0psi and the fuel injectors putting out max fuel?
I am confused about VAFC2 and turbo.

Rep Power: 302 I have the VAFC2 and the SF kit, the kit got upgraded. The engine is being replaced by a built shortblock from DH. I actually had to turn up the fuel a lil bit cuz of the much larger turbo.
I suggest just getting a VAFC2 and going to a dyno shop and getting it done the right way, no guessing.

Rep Power: 292 here is a question.... i have the autometer pro comp air/fuel gauge.
and when i start the car.. it starts off lean and after about 15-20 secs. it goes to rich, then back to lean the back to rich.
when i hit the gas, it starts lean and then shoots to rich and back.
i thought it was supose to stay within stoich (sp)
is this normal and if not what would correct it ?
should i get the s-afc or VAFC2 ?

Rep Power: 302 It's perfectly normal. It's your ECU balancing the fuel ratios. That and your o2 sensor isn't anywhere close to being as accurate as a wide band. Buy the AEM wideband sensor and your mouth will drop when you see the difference.

Rep Power: 302 For ease go with a VAFC2. Very practical, allows you to tune vtec, and 2 diff fuel maps according to a user-selectable low and high throttle position.
For more power and greater potential go with an emanage. This is nice if you have a laptop or plan on spending about 4-500 bucks on the profec e-01. It allows you to do the same as the VAFC2, but with additonal injectors, you can tune ignition timing, injector duty cycle (including additional injectors), and fuel maps accpording to boost pressure.
If you are interested in a VAFC2, I have on listed on ebay, and on the civic website.

Rep Power: 389 The SF FMU only works under boost....
If you really want to use the SF FMU, one way to adjust it is to get the vortech FMU with bleeder valve so you can tune the amount of FP added per boost instead of the set amount it currently has (either 6 or 8 to one)...
The other electronics that people mentioned above will do the same too...
Be careful and make small adjustments irregardless of whether you adjust the fuel electronically or mechanically...
