Ported Head Here ! *PICS*
My question is this:
The oem intake and exhaust manifold gaskets are sized to fit just around the stock ports. What are you doing as far as those gaskets? Are you going to have to trim the port holes on the gaskets? I haven't compared them side by side so I'm not sure if they'll match up or not. Let me know, thanks.

you will have to match port your exhaust gasket. the dh port is alot bigger than stock. the intake side is same as stock, all the work is done on the inside of the port.

what do u mean the head won't go on....the exhaust gasket has nothing to do with the head going on, i think your talking about the head gasket. The exhaust gasket won't make or break the head install, it will just cause some serious backpressure to be left in the head if it doesn't get port matched.

Anyways, I was talking to catalyst earlier and I asked him about that. He said he just matched the ports in the gasket with a dremmel. Not a big deal at all.
I was told the holes in the exhaust gasket were actually bigger than the holes on the stock head ... As a matter of fact, I'm looking at a stock EX head and I have a 1/2 inch head flange that was cut using the exhaustr manifold gasket as a template... the ports are much bigger on the gasket than the head ports ...Isnt that how you port the exhaust side??? Lay the gasket on it, mark the space between the gasket and the exhaust port and grind/smooth until you get to the line in a smooth even circle?

thats what I'm saying tho ... isnt the stock gasket hole larger than the stock exhaust ports? I can see a distinct line around the ports on this head where it looks like the gasket stops?
