Best Gauges to get for Turbo Setup?

Best Gauges to get for Turbo Setup?
Hey everyone,
I am in the process of acquiring 5 gauges for my future turbo setup. 2 in a console gauge cluster & 3 in a pillar one.
Electrical gauges is the way I will be going, but I am having trouble deciding what ones to get. I am getting AutoMeter Carbon fiber of course.
I think I deffinatly need a Boost Gauge & a Oil Pressure & an Oil Temp.
But for the other 2... what should I get??
- Air Fuel Ratio ??
- Water Temp ??
- Fuel Pressure ??
- Tranny Temp ??
- Others ??
And what should the two in front of me on the console be (what will I be watching most besides my Boost)?

I'd say you'd b e watching your boost and a/f the most.
You don't really need SOOO many gauges. But if that's whatcha want, I'd recommend an exhaust temp. gauge. And for the a/f, if you can afford it, I'd recommend a wideband before a narrow band. But the narrow bands are still a good thing to have if you can't afford the wideband.
Are you converting to a return fuel system? If so...then your fuel pressure gauge is usually located near the FPR and not in cabin and these are usually used for tuning purposes.
I still think 5 gauges is a bit much to have in the car...unless you're planning on making some serious power.

Sorry, I think gauges are sexy.
A/F, Pyrometer(EGT), Oil Pressure, Boost/Vac, and Tranny temp(if automatic), otherwise Fuel Pressure

Boost, EGT, and fuel pressure are the most important of any gauges. Then oil pressure and temperature. EGT and fuel pressure will tell you when you're about to blow your motor, A/F ratio gauges are useless unless they are hooked to a wideband o2 sensor/controller, and are really nothing more than pretty flashing lights.

Not everyone can afford a wideband....even though, as I've mentioned before, they're the most accurate.
But a narrowband a/f gauge will still tell you if you've managed to run lean. I've experienced this before and the autometer a/f gauge has indicated "lean" to me.
Better safe than sorry.

While the Autometer gauge may be a help, I'd hate for someone to be lulled into a false sense of security and their engine be damaged.

The delay you speak of is informative....and I definitely think that should be taken into consideration on all accounts.

Wow, thanks for all the advice, I have an auto by the way, and in terme of power, I am getting the first D17 Built block from DH-Racing, with the ported head & Custom IM & billet TB, the full jobbie, running 20 psi I should get somewheres arouns 400+ Whp, so I need some pretty wicked gauges to prevent my **** from breakin. Should I stick with autoMeter, or doa better brand, anny suggestions?
Well anyway, I just got home from the bar with my girl & she is wanting some sex, so I gotta satisfy her, but I had to see what you all had to say before I gave her the pleasure.
