Its not a BOV, its the wastegate.
The BOV you hear is the HKS SSQV BOV. The extra "chuchuchuchuchu" is the wastegate. Not a particular one either, its the standard sound from it.

Cuz the turbo civics on here only boost around 7-10 psi. You only need a wastegate if you are above a bar/16 psi. A BOV doesnt do any good below a bar of boost either. Its just for the sound.

I apologize, i meant to say external wastegate. Well, compared to the sound that my friends GT 30 MR2 makes, without nitrous of any type, I am inclined to go with the wastegate. His car puts out the same sounds, with just an external wastegate at 18 psi.

u apologize, u need to rethink the whole staement, not jus the part about the wastegate, also the wastegate is going to make that sound only while under boost, the BOV will still make a lil sound in vaccuum

u better research what a wastegate and BOV does my friend.
A wastegate relieves built up pressure in the turbo to prevent it from "over spinning" and a BOV releases built up pressure in the charge pipes to prevent damage.
That is just layman's terms......u better research some more d00d.

I know what they do as I have a BOV on my WRX and an external wastegate in shipment. The sounds are by company are different and on the cars so thats why I said what I did.

so is Nodnero correct? is that rattling chuchuchuch sound from the wastegate? or is it really a blow off valve?
i also heard this on a stock looking eclipse on the highway one time. so thats what lead me to think that it is a blow off valve making that sound.
u guys can argue all u want i dont mind lol, but im still interested in finding out what blow off valve or so called wastegate makes this sound.

You are prolly patially correct on 2F2F, but if he is talking about that after sound, that lasts for a while, its an external wastegate. The only reason I said it with such vigor is thats what my friend told me his did and hes got that 91 GT 30 MR2 twin turbo.

To answer the origional question thats the blitz super sequential BOV making that sound. I know b/c my friend has the same BOV on his eclipse. And having an external wastegate is good for all turbo aplications. b/c by putting less exhaust into the exhaust pipe theres more room for expansion w/ improves exhaust flow. Thats why Im getting a custom manifold made to use a tial 38mm wastegate.
