Does anyone on this site with a turbo have a dh-racing clutch? I just got mine in today and i took it to get it installed. I should get it back in a few days. One thing i did notice is it didnt have springs on it. Anyone?

its a carbon composite clutch that is supposed to be chatter resistant. Also with the carbon composite, versus the kevlar composites, it is supposed to not harm your flywheel.

Good luck on the daily driving......BAHAHAHAHAHAAAA......
but seriously, a non-sprung clutch is gonna be fun....either peel-out or stall....thats your options, smooth engagement- out the window....go with the DH pressure plate and street strip act disc.....or the act extreme pressure plate & street strip disc...
But let me know how that 6 puck works out for ya...

they called me today to see if i wanted my pressure plate or flywheel resurfaced, i forgot wich one it was, but i should get it back on thursday at the latest, but they told me that it was not a good idea to go with that type of clutch disk on a stock pressure plate, they said it will wear groves in the stock pressureplate, something to that effect i was trying to work and talk at the same time, but we will see

basically, they're saying the unsprung 6-puck is really a race-only disc. You will a. tear up that flywheel, b. get minimal life from the clutch, and c. beat up your trans mission dumpin it out all the time....Honestly, keep the HD pressure plate and get like an act street/strip disc...
BTW I know your cousin Cody, he's getting his body kit slowly, and that bastard bought the front bumper I wanted, lol...
anyway, good luck,
John

the new material is supposed to be a much smoother engagement than the composits that ACT and the other companies use. I havent had any experience with this clutch, so im speaking from only what i have heard.

too late, he practically begged me to put on the front bumper, so I did.....supposedly he's got a hook-up on paint work and he can get the whole kit done for 200 so we'll wait and see....
sorry

Well I just got a call from SodjaZero and he recommends the clutch to anyone. He says it doesnt engage hard, grips well, and the pedal isnt hard to push down. Well Ill save the questions for him.

Whats up folks? Ok well here is the scoop on the dh clutch. Yes it does not have spings. Yes it is a 6 puck clutch. Yes it does grip. What every one is forgetting is that we have a hydrolic clutch system. The clutch does engage pretty hard if you let it, but it all depends on how you controle the clutch pedal. Realy it pretty much feels the same as far as the clutch pedal goes, its just when it engages youi can tell that its realy grippy. Doesnt feel any different than any other upgraded aftermarket clutch, if not better. I just got it put in so i have not used it in racing conditions, meaning i havent dumped it in 1st gear. But i have gotten on it a few times and it feels good. The only way you can appreciate a turbo is with a good clutch!!! I do recomend this clutch. I am happy with it. Who is next to get one?

I just bought an ACT StreetLite Flywheel and Exedy Cerametallic Clutch so I'll post a review on that too.

I was told to stay away from 6 puck for daily driving. But if it feels good and doesn't die quick then this could be a good option.
