I was telling him what most people go with. And I also stated the "I dunno" because I'm not sure why IK16 would be better than IK20. All I know is that the lower the number, the colder the plug.
Since you are claiming to be the god of everything D17, then why don't you enlighten us on the difference and what is better. It seems to be no problem for you to criticize others on this forum. Now its time for you to back up your bull$hit statements.

I told him the exact same thing you did, so maybe you shouldn't have been redundant.
I'll be installing my IK20's soon too. I'm gonna be installing it with my crank pulley. Granted I don't have the turbo yet, but that is coming.....lol

if they are brand new and it is $48 shipped, then yes. Dezod has them for i think $12 a piece.

dober is not an *** at all. He was clearly correcting your comment with relevant information, so he would not make the wrong choice on sparkplugs. Also why do you keep locking threads about problems with SF? I guess its fair since maxrev only had 1 problem to let that thread become over 20 pages, but yet when someone speaks out against SF its just fine and dandy to lock the thread.

well, if you are just cruising around town, the the 20's will be ideal, if you are always on the throttle, then 22's will be better.

Well either way I know Dezod bought a TON and sold almost all but may have some left. That'll ship a little bit faster.
Besides saying "wrong" about the heat ranges, please let them know why.
Ik16s are stock temp ratings. IK20s are fine for our 10psi or less setups. 22s are better for higher psi and built motors. Also, all iridium plugs for our cars come pre-gapped.
Iridiums dont last as long as platinum but do perform better so it's a tossup.
I just switched from NGK Iridium IXs to Denso Iridium IK20s and they perform almost the same, hopfully the Densos last longer, though I did notice a slightly smoother idle with the Densos.

ok, here is the general jist of it......the best way i can explain it.
There are many factors that determine which plugs are better. Just b/c someone use's 22's doesn't mean they are better for your setup. Altitude, octane of gas, mods, and driving help determine which is best for your car.
Higher elevations mean less oxygen and colder running, therefore a hotter plug is required. Lower elevations is the opposite, meaning a colder plug is needed. The octane of gas is very important too. If you use a low grade fuel then you will need colder plugs to prevent detonation. Also, the way u drive plays a key role. If you are just cruising around alot and on the throttle once in a while then a hotter plug is needed. If you are racing alot on the track or street then a colder plug is needed.
Also, iridium plugs are required for turbo applications b/c they are a "resistorless" plug. A non-resistor plug requires less voltage which allows the plug to fire under extreme combustion conditions.
I read somewhere that Denso recommends changing thier irdium plugs after 30,000 miles and NGK recommends changing them at 60,000. But that also depends on how hard u drive ur car.
If you put too cold of a plug in then you may experience problems starting and/or fouling your plugs because "fouling" deposits won't be burned off b4 they cause damage. If you go with a hotter plug, it may cause overheating, denoation, and possible damage to the plug and combustion chambers.
All in all.........i suggest going with the 20's. Inspect your plugs regularly and check for detonation.

I dropped in IK24's last night.
Off boost, idle and starting is just fine. Spraying methanol will keep them clean, even if I run too rich. I am at or below see level and plan on cranking up the boost.
I went with two ranges colder. I did that because I figure why pay $50 to avoid some detonation and just go a little colder. Maybe w/o the meth I would say they will foul out. But with meth I think they will stay very clean.
please feel free to comment. I dont claim to know anything. So fire away.
