Question Throwing a turbo bearing???

Well i have a 99 ex turbo. I found oil inside my charge pipe, inside the turbo, and inside the pipes that go to the intercooler. My friend says i threw a turbo bearing ( the Edelbrock kit i have comes with a ball-bearing turbo). Now i know this is bad but how does this happen, and what can be done? I am not sure how to word it so i guess its called "throwing a bearing". I figured the turbo would need to be replaced, Edelbrock has a 90 day warranty so hopefully they can replace it. The kit has only been on my car for 2-3 weeks. Any info is appreciated. And for those of you that read my post in the Street forum, im guessing that race wont happen any time soon. Thanks guys/gals for your help.
