Your better off buying a K20A2 motor. The A3 has a lower CP and different head. And the K20A2 has Vtec on both cams. To make a K20A3 "into" a K20A2, you need to buy the K20A2 tranny, ECU, complete head, pistons, rods, crank, and Ect. Then put it all into the A3. So in the end, you would only be using the A3 block. LOL Don't waste your time or money. Get the K20A2.

Check out car-parts.com You can find motors there. Just search for RSX engine.
Off topic questions for you. I really like your R33 kit. Is your Urethane of Fiberglass? Looks like its urethanne cause of the sagging in the front grill. Where did you get it? How is the fit of the kit? Like I said, looks really good man. Thanks.

K20a for N/A setup only.
K20a3 is perfectly fine. Just do k20a2 Headswap or turbo.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Hybrid EP K20A3 block/tranny and A2 head, K20A2 ECU (stock), 310cc injectors, 64mm TB
Hondata HSG, ES inserts, AEM CAI/DC Header/Megan high-flow cat/2.25" midpipe (crush)
SAE dyno #'s: 167whp 127.9tq (9.8:1 comp)
------------------------------------------------------------------
K20a3 is good for Turbo.
EP3 on the dyno at SFP. It produced 297.1whp and 245 ft.lbs of torque at 9.8 psi with 93 octane, 19" wheels, and catalytic converter. Rev limit has been raised to 8200 and runs perfect with no CEL
------------------------------------------------------------------
Cybernation Stage I Turbo Kit
Thermal Stealth 2.25" CatBack
ES Motor Mount Inserts
other stuff that is irrelivant on a dyno power run
Results:
Max HP: 266.8
Max TQ: 215.4

well the difference between the I-VTEC and normal VTEC is the I-VTEC has VTC (variable timing control). Basically the I-VTEC can adjust the timing on the cam up to 30 degrees in either direction based on weather it needs economy or more power. So i'm gonna say its impossible to make your motors VTEC function like the I-VTEC.

converting a k20a3 to a k20a2 would wind up costing you as much as it would to just buy a k20a2. whats different is as follows:
Entire head
Intake Manifold
Pistons
ECU
Trans
I'm sure there are more, but thats the main differences i know of.
Basically the only thing you'd be using is the a3 block like Jodster said.
It'd be to expensive and basically pointless unless the k20a3 was given to you, then you'd still have to buy all those parts, which would get really expensive.
My $0.02 just buy a k20a2.
Damn i should be the swap mod or something
