so what if they make an extra kit. Are they that concerned they won't be able to sell it?

And other far fetched idea, how bout not spending the peoples money till the job is done. Put the persons payment off to the side, and when the kit is done cash it. I understand they are a small company, but you'd figure they'd have enough money to be able to pay for the bills with spending the guy who's waiting 4 months $3100. That way if the person gets fed up and wants a refund, they can do it no problem.

Thanks for all the responses.

As for people breaking things because they don't know what they are doing....Mike Stafford and Catalyst installed the kit and I helped out here and there. I'm not blaming anything on anyone here. But, if someone says that things break because people don't know what they are doing, don't pay attention, etc., I would have to agree. But I would think that the people who designed the kit would know well enough how to install it.

Again, I didn't start this thread to bash SF, in all honesty, I wanted opinions of what I should do. As well, I am hoping that when the guys at SF read the thread, they will re-examine the issues they are having with satisfying their customers. And I am pissed off that all the while, Mike Stafford has told me that "He'd take care of me" and he hasn't really done anything for me that he's told me he would along the way.

Stuff breaking is solely the owners fault for even putting a kit on in the first place. It is a gamble you take in to your own hands. You sacrifice reliability for performance, that goes for any car.
And what does this have to do with a turbo ? The shaft was bent........that means that the turbo was defective to begin with. All andyman wants is a another turbo so he can drive his car.

And I agree with 18sec...........if SF gives you a timeline for it to be done then stick to it. If they think that they can't do it........then make it a bigger time line. If they were a wk behind then that is fine..... but for ppl to be waiting 2 months longer is b/s.

where is catalyst or SFPower on this... i know that they have to have read this thread.

about them moving into a new shop by the 1st fo febuaryand that everything will speed up by then. we shouldnt have to wait until,(but it looks as if we will) because they originally told us that they would be out before Christmas, here it is a whole month later. they also told us(total of 5 from november sale) that they were shipping them out before their move because they didnt want to move them to the new shop. well, that hasnt happened yet and then they said that they were going out this week(last week), and only one went out. i have paid for my kit in full. sent them one large cashiers check. i am not scared that they are going to jip me or anything, i just want them to be straight with all of us. if they are really behind, tell me, dont say that they are waitin on turbos or the powdercoater, i will understand. i know that i will be satisfied with their product. that is not a worry. actually, i am not worry about anything, i just want what i have paid for and some constant updates on my kit. i am sure that they are tired of hearing from me because i pm them everyother day for an update. i mean, they know me by first and last name.

i am not trying to bash or sound pissy, i originally purchased my kit based on the praises from other on the site that have it and their constant customer service on here. they even answered all my?'s before i became interested in their products. now i am starting to wonder about their customer service. Catalyst, and mike if you read this, just let us know what is up

Ok. This is Catalyst. Im at my fiancee's house spending the only 2 hours of free time together that we have had this week.

First of all, Andy, you did not pay $5,000 for the kit. I have the invoice right here in front of me just to make sure. Im not going to say the price, because it isnt anyones business, but it was much less than $5000.

And the head gasket problems you were having werent on us. I know you werent blaming it on us, but i want to make sure everyone knows that. Also, since the turbo guy is being such a pain about the turbo, i will give you a new turbo for $275. Complete, brand new, never used, upgraded turbo. So you can wait and see if your other one gets waranteed, or we can get you a turbo within the next week and a half.
And we had NOTHING to do with the turbo going bad. It worked perfectly before you took it into that shop. And it didnt work afterwards. They probably took it apart with a wrench, which is a no-no with the shaft. But we still tried to take care of you, right?

And to address the expanding business.....
We are expanding. That is why it is taking more time. We are in the process of moving shops, and then we get broken into several times and one of them ends up with a customer car ran through our gate.

18sec, i pm'd you yesterday with the status. And i was incorrect, it was not next tuesday, it was today. So we will be able to help you out sooner than expected. And im going to give you a little more for your patience. What company would do that?

We cant build kits fast enough. I have not accepted an order for ANY turbo kit since our last group buy. We are finally getting caught up. There are only 2 people waiting for their kit (who have paid in full).

Anyway, all you who are waiting on us, i am going to hook you up with some free stuff. Like the last set of base turbos i sent out, they were all actually upgraded turbos. They had the larger turbine in them. That's a $100 upgrade that i gave to everyone for free, just for waiting. And now the rest of you guys, i will be throwing something else in. I am going to release a new downpipe upgrade that decreases the turbulence of the internal wastegate. It is almost as efficient as the external wastegates. Ill probably be selling them for $150 extra, and you who are waiting will get them for free.

Bac just recieved his kit, and he was excited over the phone when he called to tell me he got it installed and running beautifully. He was suprised at the quality of the kit and i havent heard him complain yet.

Hawk, good to hear your car runs!

All I wanted from the start is a turbo kit that worked. I didn't pay you guys 5k, but altogether, with gauges, etc, it's been well over 5k. All I meant was that I spent over 5k on a turbo setup that I haven't been able to use. I wasn't trying to be an *** about the situation, I just want my stuff working. I think I've waited long enough and been very patient. I wanted to work out whatever was possible, and I'm sure we can work things out. I know you guys try to make things right and that's cool.

Like I said, I wasn't trying to attack anyone here, I just don't want to wait anymore. I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying an sf kit, you guys do good work. So hopefully we can get this settled and be done. Thanks for replying, Mike.

I have been trying to keep everyone updated. I talk to people on AIM every night. And i answer all your PM's. If you guys have questions, i encourage you to ask me. I mean i am busy building parts all day long. And when i get home i spend another 4 hours every day on the computer answering questions, etc. So i will answer your questions just about every night.

sorry, i just noticed this
so lets see with the last 5 months cats car has gotten a new and improved head, IC, piping, Manifold, and been to the dyno, customers should come first, and can sue if they dont get what they are told, i know ive seen it first hand around here, one shop locally screwed with a customer and got themselves into a suit that they los for 65,000 bucks
I built everything on my car over the course of 2 days. A saturday night and a sunday. My head was done by DHracing for me. I did not do that. The base kit was a 4 hour install the first time to make sure the kits fit my car. It had to be tested. My car was down for 6 weeks when i broke it. It could have been fixed in 2 days, but i was busy making customer parts. I didnt have time for my stuff. I work between 60 and 70 hours per week. I build stuff, answer questions online, help customers at the shop, answer phone calls, pick up parts, etc, etc. I got to see my fiancee for about 6 hours all week this week. I was trying to track down where my turbo are, and whether or not andy's turbo was going to get waranteed.

Right now there arent that many people waiting on us for their kits. And they bought the kits right about 2 months ago, and their kits are all but complete. Why do you guys think my car still has a bad clutch in it? I am finishing kits. I do not work on my car unless i have all of the customer stuff up to par. And i look forward to doing my clutch next weekend, if you know what i mean.

I am talking with my web designer.... he is going to add a section to the site where you can punch in a conformation number and check on the status of your kit. Also it will have fill install instructions for every kit and all the upgrades.

^^^ Quoting yourself and critquing yourself priceless

SF has had a stellar year and they are at the most crucial point for any buisness. They are at the point where they have outgrown there current production abilities and need to addapt since demand is so much higher than they could supply. Sf is really becoming a power player in this game and this can only get better.

This man is very intelligent. We expanded our business by 700% this year alone. And that was only the last 7 months of the year. We have been updating things and buying new equipment for building parts with higher quality and more efficiency. The last breakin at our shop left us with about $10,000 worth of tools, parts, damage, etc. So we are building up again, and are still making the same high quality product as we have been. We arent going anywhere. As Mike Stafford would say... "I have done soo much with soo little for soo long, now i can do anything with nothing"

This company is going nowhere but up. And the higher we go, the lower the prices will get and the higher the quality will become.
